Christina Aguilera is looking to start the new year on a high note – literally, because she has plans to release a new song in January. For her upcoming album, she's listed famed producer Max Martin among collaborators, it has emerged.

As we also informed you over the weekend, there's a lot of online buzz that Aguilera is coming out with a new single next month.

She's yet to confirm this, but insiders insist that the release is a go, no doubt about it.

In fact, That Grape Juice writes, there's also a lot of talk about how the single, her first off her upcoming album, will be a collaboration with Max Martin.If his name rings a bell with you, it's because he's the man behind many of Britney Spears' hit singles. In other words, Christina is sparing no efforts to make sure her next album is a best-seller with audiences.

“As more lids are being lifted on the singer’s forthcoming LP, news has now surfaced that the Grammy-winning starlet has enlisted hit pop producer Max Martin for her widely speculated lead single due in January,” TGJ writes.

“Martin, who is the craftsman behind some of once-rivaled sensation Britney Spears' biggest hits, has joined the bevy of big named producers taking the wheel behind train Xtina,” the music-oriented e-zine writes.

“And, with critics already hailing the song 'a surefire hit,' 'upbeat,' and 'radio-friendly,' the news (if proven correct) will only boost the already swiftly mounting buzz for Aguilera's next offering,” says the same media outlet.

The song will reportedly drop in January, to capitalize on early buzz Christina will undoubtedly get for the next season of The Voice, on which she's a judge and mentor and which premieres in February.

The album, which doesn't have a name or a release date just yet, will be Aguilera's follow-up to “Bionic,” which failed to sell as expected and has been deemed a flop by industry insiders.

The singer suggested that pairing the Super Bowl and The Voice is perfect because the NBC reality show's judges must build a perfect team much like in the NFL.

November 03, 2011 - Has Christina Aguilera cleaned up her act? At the very least she seems to have learned that tights aren't an acceptable substitute for a pair of pants. She appeared at a press junket for The Voice last week, and for the first time in a long time she actually looked pretty good.

According to the Huffington Post, Christina hasn't looked so hot lately. She was photographed recently wearing tights and a t-shirt in public--having somehow managed to leave her pants at home. She had been falling down drunk en route from bar to bar, and her hair looked like a dirty stiff wig for months on end.

Christina Aguilera wore a respectable and stylish outfit at the press junket for The Voice. It was a black mini-skirt (she still left her pants at home--but at least there was something more than a t-shirt over her tights this time!) and a silk blouse tied with a bow. Even her hair had been worked on significantly. The long tresses that so frequently looked like the victim of a Barbie doll hairdresser (aka a six-year-old) were clean, shiny and styled beautifully. Last season on The Voice Christina Aguilera's hair was a big, tangled, dirty-looking mess--however not as bad as it looked when she was photographed at the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert in Wales a few weeks ago. That had an air of dumpster-living about it. It was really, really bad.

The singer/actress went with her entourage to the St. David’s Hotel in Wales where she purchased rounds of alcohol all night for her friends. Aguilera also purchased dinner for her entire entourage which added to the overall bar tab.

Aguilera also hired a train carriage to get her and the entourage from London to Cardiff. A source told The Daily Mail: “Christina just sat back and enjoyed the views.” That same source added, ”She had been told the countryside is beautiful and she just wanted to see it.”

“Her management hired half the carriage through a company called Train Chartering because she didn’t like the idea of a fleet of Bentleys sitting on the M4 for hours on end.”

The singers tab included chilled champagne, Belvedere vodka, Pinot Grigio, Fuji apples, a pot of honey, unsalted almonds and mineral water. The water was flown in from the South Pacific at the request and expense of Aguilera.

As if Christina Aguilera wasn’t already giving her entourage the royal treatment they were actually allowed to wait in the VIP lounge before boarding the train, the same lounge that is typically reserved for actual royal family members.

Do you think spending $8,000 on alcohol and food for a night out on the town is a bit excessive? I’m not saying she shouldn’t have done it but if I was dropping that much cash I would be shooting for higher shelf vodka than Belvedere.

The popstar was spotted at the London Dungeon with her head in the stocks as two of the attraction's blood-covered staffers sinisterly hold weapons above her.

Christina, 30, was in London getting into the Halloween spirit a couple of weeks early after performing at the Michael Jackson tribute concert over the weekend.She shocked fans with her onstage attire and dishevelled state at the Cardiff show on Saturday.

Her blonde hair, which was filled out with long extensions, was matted mess and her skimpy corset and fishnets did little to flatter her very curvy figure.

But what she lacked in style, she made up for in talent, belting out the King of Pop's favourite song Smile by Charlie Chaplin and his own Dirty Diana alongside topless male dancers.

When the star arrived back home in Los Angeles, she carried on her unflattering fashion choices, donning what appeared to be a pair of tracksuit pants with a black leather jacket.

'Dirty' Diet Secret Is a Warning to All Women

Christina Aguilera used to be my boyfriend's celebrity pass. I used to joke that she was his "other girlfriend." But no more. Ever since she divorced her hubby and started acting like a party animal drunk, he's so over her. The entertainment world seems to be a bit disillusioned with her, as well, especially since she appears to have no real idea about what she's been doing to her body ... and it shows. While performing at the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales this weekend, she chose an unflattering, skimpy, tight outfit and insane bedhead hairdo that made her look like a total mess.

Now, I'm all about the womanly curves, and in a more flattering dress, I thought she looked hella sexy. But what isn't hot at all is HOW it seems like she's gotten to this point with her body.See, besides the fact that she's said to be hitting the bottle these days -- a fact that should not be discounted (just think of all the extra calories lots of alcohol can add up to!) -- and that she reportedly binge eats junk, she's also destroyed her metabolism with yo-yo dieting. She suffered from an eating disorder in her teens, and ever since, she's gone through periods of eating really well and eating like crap -- a toxic pattern that experts call "disordered eating." She's gained and lost so much weight over the years that it's totally thrown off her body's ability to burn fat effectively. And she's only 30 years old!

It's actually a really scary premise, considering that Christina's backstory isn't all that uncommon. So many of us have done the same thing. I used to sit in Weight Watchers meetings and hear fellow members talk about how this was their third time joining the program, or hear a woman at her "goal weight" say how she's been there several times before ... but hoped this would be the time it actually stuck. It's definitely disturbing to think that weight roller coaster many of us feel like we're on for life is axing our ability to lose weight and keep it off healthfully.

A completely-shot metabolism is no joke. And it's hard enough if your metabolism slows down, because you're getting a bit older or you're dealing with not-so-"skinny genes" that mess with your thyroid and other hormones!

Seems like the only solution is to try to put an end to those yo-yo diets and disordered eating patterns once and for all. Commit to more consistent healthy eating (you know, with the occasional indulgence, because deprivation doesn't help either!). Not easy, but definitely worth it if it prevents us from wrecking our metabolisms.

As for Christina, it just breaks my heart that she's been subjected to such nasty criticism about her curves, but I hope she figures it out soon that she needs to clean up her act. Her career and her health depend on it.

Ten years later, I am making that record and that dream finally comes true, but it's a whole other thing to make it. Of course, you have your naysayers along the way, but it almost gives you that much more desire and passion and drive to go for what you want. That's what's so great about this show. You get to be that mentor for these people and be a part of their journey and hopefully start their journey.Q: All these contestants want stardom, but life changes once it's achieved. How did you learn to deal with the white-hot spotlight?

A: I think certain people are just meant to do certain things. Since I was little, obviously, I had this specific focus and specific goal. Sort of the fact that I had been on "Star Search" when I was little and on the "Mickey Mouse Club," having that background sometimes gives you a little bit of a head start in knowing what it feels like to have all eyes on you. I sort of grew up with a little taste of that. But yes, on a wide spectrum it can be really crazy and make you feel really vulnerable. That's why sometimes when you are in this business it's easy to, especially when you are female and you are starting out so young, to be susceptible to sharks.

Growing up so fast in this business, [you] put up certain walls and certain guards to protect yourself. It's what you have to do. You learn the hard way early on. It has its ups and downs. It definitely has its perks, but you have to really want it. It's one thing to talk about "Oh, I want to be famous," but there's a lot of work, a lot of hard work and a lot of dedication and travel and exhaustion that goes along with it.

Q: Do you believe in destiny?

A: I do, I believe everything happens for a reason, for sure. What I love about this show's concept, [is] it brings it right down to the voice. There are certain people, for sure, that when we turn our chair around and we see them it is definitely not what we expected or pictured in our heads. That's the beauty of what the show is about. It is a chance to take music back to its original form, before music videos, marketing and strategy and things like that. ... It's about getting down to the nitty-gritty when you had your Billie Holidays and Nina Simones and you really didn't have an opportunity to constantly get in touch with what they are doing or tweeting and all this stuff. [Laughs] You literally had to go by what they sounded like.

Q: You came from a modest background, so was it a challenge to adjust to the wealth that comes with fame?

A: [Laughs] I mean, there are definite perks. You know, my mom always did teach me to stay pretty grounded - to never take anything for granted. The minute that you do, it could all be taken away from you. You know some things are more successful than others. Everyone has that moment no matter what business you are in, no matter what you're doing. Would I say it was difficult to adjust? You are just playing with bigger chips, but we all have the same sort of problems.

I think the biggest thing to adjust to is the people that end up changing around you because of the money. And the people that come out of the woodwork and all of a sudden you start feeling like people are around you for the wrong reasons because they want something from you. It's sad. It's a sad adjustment and realization to feel the people around you, who you thought you could trust, sort of change a little bit.

But other than that it's been great. I get to support [my mother] and make sure that she is very well taken care of and to help my family, to help people around me whenever I need to. And to buy the right pair of shoes and handbag when I want to is pretty nice, as well. [Laughs]

After some nail-biting auditions landed each coach with three singers, the four complete their teams Tuesday night. Unfortunately, it’s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Christina Aguilera. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way all of the participating artists seem to be really enjoying themselves. Combine that with the overall presentation and you’ve got one of Christina Aguilera’s most impressive releases ever.

If you’re a Christina Aguilera fan this is a CD your collection flat cannot be without. In fact, this is one of those CDs that you don’t even have to be a fan of Aguilera, or even Pop to know is good. This is just good music.

While this entire album is really very good the truly standout tunes are track 2 - What A Girl Wants, track 9 - When You Put Your Hands On Me, and track 12 - Obvious.
